Service Description
We will explain the key elements of collaborative assessments when working ethically with children and young people. The importance of boundaries when working with children and young people in different counselling settings. We will provide examples of the types of boundary issues that may occur during counselling work with children and young people. And explain how to implement safe clinical practice when working with children and young people. We will describe limitations and challenges that may be faced when working within a school setting. And explain how counselling can support the challenges faced by children and young people living within a care system. We will discuss the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) ethical framework currently in place to support counselling children and young people. And explain the key legislation for working therapeutically with children and young people. We will discuss the importance of supervision to support ethical practice when working with children and young people.
